NO! This is wrong! It is based on a perfect 28 day cycle and not many women have a perfect cycle. You can have unprotected intercourse at some points during the cycle but you need to know when ovulation occurs for your particular situation. A good way to know is to chart your basal body temps. A good book on the subject is Taking Charge of Your Fertility by Toni Weschler.

Ideally, that is how it works. However, that is based on a normal 28 day cycle, where you ovulate 2 weeks after the beginning of your period. Many women do not fall into a 28 day cycle though. That being said, the "rhythm method" is completely WITHOUT merit. You can get pregnant any time of the month, whether you are ovulating or not. It is just easier then. I got pregnant on the first day of my period, so I am a prime example.

If you are not wanting to get pregnant there is no good time to not use protection. My Father-in-Law was a math genius and even he screwed up the Rhythm Method....that is how my mother in law got pregnant with my husband. They were doing all the charting and testing her temperature!

no you can even get pregnant during your period. i never Had a perfect cycle, and never in the same week each month it would change every month, so the temp. thing wouldn't really work. there are a few days out of the month that are considered safe, but if you dont want to get pregnant i wouldnt chance it.

Nope. Me & my husband got pregnant the first day after my period had stopped. The docter said it was rare but there's no "time" period in which you can not get pregnant. If there were we'd all know!

i don't believe in that anymore because to many people have told me that they got pregnant when they were on and right before and right after, if u trust him and love him and u don't want to use a condom then get on the pill. but the pill is not 100% and don't trust in the pull out method i know u where thinkin about it, lol. just use the condom
