He opened his eyes. Where was he? His eyes were dried and blurry, making it impossible for him to see where he was in the dimly lit room. All he knew was he was in a bed. Not a particularly comfy bed mind, it was quite hard. He attributed the stiffness he was feeling in his neck and back to this. Groaning, he turned on his side and fumbles at the brown blur he guessed was a table. His flailing fingers found the switch of a light, and he turned it on, causing him to have to turn away from the bright glare. He wiped his stinging eyes, shading them from the light until it didn't burn his long unexposed pupils any longer. After a few minutes the blurriness of his vision had begun to recede, and he could see that the walls around him were blue and... He groaned. He was in a hospital. He sat up and reached towards the end of his bed. Aha! Just like in all those hospital dramas he'd watched, there was a plate at the end of his bed. He still struggled to read it, but he could make out his name and the words 'Due MRI scan - 09.30'. Puzzled, he rubbed his aching head, and stopped, gently feeling the soft silky cotton that resided there. As he caressed the fabric it dawned on him; they were bandages, and he gasped with surprise. Had he been hurt? Then he wondered how long he'd been here, in this hospital. What day was it? Had he missed the football game? His eyes widened; it was the final, and the thought of having missed it vexed him more than the revelation that he was injured in hospital. The orange light of sunrise began to creep into the room, illuminating it much more than the dim lamp had done, and in the light he saw, with his normal sharpness of vision, the door handle turning.
'Ah, your awake' the doctor commented. 'But not for long I think' he grinned as the boy noticed the syringe the doctor brandished. 'Now this will only hurt a bit' he whispered as he drew the point nearer the boys arm 'I promise'.

Dun dun duuuuuuun.

The phone rang at sunrise. A surprise football game had been organized by his friends with a promise of a breakfast to the winning team. Unfortunately, in a blind dive to catch a pass, he struck the goal post and was bleeding profusely from a head wound. His friends appied a make-shift bandage and rushed him to the hospital. There, a doctor ordered an MRI to check for internal damage. He was groggy, but unharmed. His biggest concern was that the promised breakfast did not happen.

On Sunday I got up at sunrise excited for the promise the day would bring. I was going to my first football game of the season. I didn't know what surprise was in store for us fans. I got awesome seats and I could not wait. At the game during one of the passes I was nailed in the head and knocked to the ground unconscious. When I woke up I was in the emergency room with a bandage over my head. The doctor came in and told me good news the MRI was fine and your team won. I was a little out of it and then in walked the most gorgeous quarterback who carried me to safety.

I need a bandage. My friends suprised me while I was at a football game on the very top of the bleachers, and I fell down a few steps and got stuck. It was ok, because my friends promised they would get me to the emergeny room to get an MRI, but when they left, they never came back. I ended up stuck in the bleachers until sunrise. I hate my friends!

Today I went to get an MRI, and I tripped on the way and scraped my knee. The nurse who prepped me gave me a bandage for the scrap. I was surprised by my boyfriend when he met me for lunch that afternoon and told me he had tickets to a football game. Many hours past, we held hands as a beautiful sunrise came up, and he kept his promise that it would be beautiful if I would stay up.

It was the day of the big football game where I promised to be the quarterback. Problem was, I had a headache. A huge headache. The night before, I was walking down the street when SURPRISE! a monstrous gorilla knocked me over and my head hit the concrete. Well, it wasn't a real gorilla. It was a woman in a costume selling tickets to the zoo. She removed her hairy gorilla head and stared at me, her long blond hair glinting the sunlight. Imagine a beautiful woman's head sticking out of a hairy gorilla body. Her blue eyes stared at me angrily. "Watch where you're going!" she yelled at me. I was too dazed to respond. My head was bleeding. When she realized what she had done, she called the ambulance. While waiting for the ambulance, she reached down and ripped off her bra and used it as a bandage over the huge gash in my head. It stopped the bleeding. She introduced herself, her name was Charlize Banana and it was her first day on the job and wasn't used to wearing the gorilla outfit yet..something about the eye holes. The ambulance took me to the hospital where I got an MRI. I slept all night and when the sunrise came, I awoke to see Charlize's face staring at me with concern. "How are you doing?" she asked. My heart skipped a beat. I mean, I was starting to go ape over her. I jumped out of bed and then remembered where I was and reminded by the pounding in my head. "Did you get your bra back?" I asked. "Yes, and I hope to take it off again for you." That got me all excited. I was released from the hospital and headed off for the football game. I couldn't play because of the injury, though, so I just sat on the bench and advised my team mates. In the middle of the game I saw our team mascot, a huge Purple Platypus (its nickname was "PP"), come down to the field and stand right in front of me. "Get out the way", I yelled. Then a familiar voice came out of the Platypus, "Hi Mathew" she said ... it was her! Charlize! I gave the Platypus a big hug -- it was a funny sight and all of the people in the stands started to laugh hysterically!
