The age to stop in our town is 13.They won't allow kids over 13 to trick or treat on main street and most people won't hand out candy if they look too old. I miss trick or treating too.I had some good times but now i have fun passing out candy, decorating the house, haunted houses, and taking my kids trick or treating.I wore a widowed witch costume when i was the guide at a haunted house once a few years ago, and I already have black hair so i put on black boots and really cool makeup and sprayed my hair with white and hairsprayed it up high and the people loved it.I looked freaky.Anyway happy bday and happy halloween , I will go ahead and tell you.

I think when you no longer want to dress up, that's when you stop trick or treating. Wearing ripped jeans and a flannel and claiming to be a bum, doesn't count as a costume.
The best costume I ever had was a spider costume that I made myself. I couldn't sit down all day because the legs kept getting in the way, but I had a great time.

First off I don't think Halloween is the devils birthday.
And I know people who are in their 20's who still trick or treat. And I know people in their 40's who still dress up at home on halloween.
The best costume I have seen was a whole team of peopel who dressed up as a medical staff and women giving birth. If I can find the link for photos of it, I'll post it.

I quit around 16, I went in for the trick then though. People still had outdoor toilets then and we would either tip them over or move them over a few feet. We also soaped windows, threw M-80's, you could still get them then. You could still get car hoods open from the outside then too, so we would put car bombs on the sparkplug wire to ground. They didn't have much for costumes then so I just blankened my face with burnt cork, dressed like a hobo. It was a fun night though. You did not worry about getting a bad apple or have something put in you candy. I will think about you on Holloween eve, the night of you B-day.

After being 18, it might be kinda creepy. it depends on the people, or their family. if your family questions why you don't just stay home, or they think its odd you want to go, then you might be getting too old. 15+I would say. I, myself, like to see the cute little kids, because I'm close to having kids myself some day, and so I stay home and pass out candy.. and think about my future. I don't like the cold because I live in Wisconsin. Also, depends on what you do trick or treating for, exactly.

To trick or treat up to about 12, to dress up and walk around with friends any age as long as it's for good clean fun.

I was 13 my last year, but I hate dressing up, so that's why. And where the heck did you get the idea that the devil's birthday is on Halloween? It's not even remotely related.
