when is best to try to concieve.. 3 days b4 ovulation,, or all the days till ovulation and on the day of ovulation? and when do u mothers think you concieved?

The best time to conceive is during ovulation or the 1-2 days prior to it. The newly released egg is fertile for 12-24 hours. Sperm can only live in fertile quailty cervical mucus and some women don't get fertile quality mucus until the day before ovulation so having sex 3 days ahead won't help if your mucus isn't fertile.

before ovulation because the sperm can live in you for 3-5 days.....
I dont know when I concieved I was too young to think about it.

According to my infertility specialist you should be sexually active every other day from days 10 -25 after your period ends.I have Polly Cystic Ovary Syndrome so I had to take fertility drugs and do the deed as scheduled above.I have 2 boys who are 7 yrs apart and just lost one after trying for the past 10 yrs.Keep on trying and don't give up!!!They are TRULY a blessing!!Good Luck

www.4woman.gov will help you. You can insert your date of last period and it will tell you when you are most likely ovulating.Also ovulation predictor tests will tell you when you are having a LH surge when you have this then you should have intercourse within 24-36 hours sperm lives 72 hours.This site is great and has other cool women stuff on it.Good luck.

i would say three days after because you'll be more concievable and won't have any problems
