Save your money.
Manufacturer advertising notwithstanding, using a platinum plug in a vehicle not designed for them is the automotive equivalent of putting a $50.00 saddle on a $5.00 horse. The ignition system as well as the firing chamber geometry must be designed for them to be of REAL value.
Use the type of plugs recommended by the manufacturer on the VECI label, or parts book.

Good Luck

They won't hurt anything, although the "plus two" and "plus four" ones are IMHO a waste of money. The usual reason for platinum is not that it performs better but that it lasts longer, so if you don't want to do another spark plug change until your Omni has 210K on the clock, this might make sense. Other than the materials, the plugs will pretty much be a duplicate of the stock ones and will behave in exactly the same way except for the rate at which they wear out.

I don't think it will run better, but the point gap on the plug may last longer.
