My boyfriend, Jordan and I have been seeing each other for months now. Just a few days ago, he told me his mother was still living with him. This was news to me because every time after a date we would go to MY apartment. Now I am totally turned off. I know he doesn't have a job and obviously this mother is supporting him. He wants me to meet her sometime soon. But what he doesn't know is, I've already met her! She works in my office as the secretary. I found out that they were related when i heard her last name. And heres the really horrible thing. I HATE HER! She is so arrogant, selfish, judgemental, backstabbing, rude. what do i do now?!?!?! I need help. PLEASE I'm desperate. ....

Girlfriend if he has no job, u deserve better. Find someone else and tell them about this funny story. It may not seem funny to u now, but in a couple years, u will laugh. This is a good ice breaker story too.

HAHAHA I needed a good laugh. I'll be chuckling about this one for days. I don't even have a clue what I'd do if I were you. I guess I would just take it easy and take the relationship lightly and get off (get laid) or whatever! Keep letting him treat you out or whatever, and don't take anything about the relationship seriously. Start looking around for another guy, then dump him. And screw what his mother thinks after you leave him. Hope this helps! :-) ...oh and stop being so judgemental toward people, it isn't right. :-)

Find a better boyfriend. You've been seeing him for months and he has no job. He is chronically unemployed. Jordan is full of jelly beans.
Besides that, in a relationship, you have to accept your partner's whole family. If you absolutely can't stand her then it will cause daily or weekly problems forever. Jordan and his mommy are a a package deal. They come into your life together. You can take it or leave it. I suggest that you leave it. And don't just walk away without looking back......RUN!

With the way home prices are today, I am not suprised he still lives with his mother. I got my graduate degree 2 years ago and still live with my mom because I can't afford a home. I can afford to live on my own, but my mom has 4 vacant rooms in her home and so I occupy one of them. I'm 27 and make a little over $60k.

I really think u know the answer, RUN as fast as u can, If his Mother is supporting him now , u will be supporting him latter, Mother may control him if so she will control u latter Think about it. There are more fish in the sea, u best starting looking now..

Obviously you can't live w/this situation by your comments. It is time to tell Jordan bye-bye. I have to assume that he is of age and should be working. There are jobs out there in any city if you want to work. He prefers to sponge. . . and besides that you hate his mother. There is no future in this relationship.

What is the point of dating someone who does not even hold a job? All problems will come along...financially, emotionallly...he is not independent probably in every way...stop seeing him cold turkey and find someone else..

I would be honest with him and tell him that you know his mother already. You knew he didn't have a job, how did you think he was supporting himself? I think it may be time to let this one go.
