Looking for songs similar to Skylarks 'Wildflower'. Should be similar vocal range, soulful, 70's-ish and have been somewhat popular but not TOO popular. Songs that people go "Oh I havent heard that in so long" but it has to be good for a male soloist baritone tenor. Like Lou Rawls "You'll never find"but less well known and more soulful. More uptempo or with added funk is ok. Any fave's or suggestions? Gimme the songs not just the bands.

Child of the 70s here...so many lovely ballads - soul, rock, pop...found link below, rather than trying to list them! Second link mentions some not on first link...more love song types...some of mine are "Betcha By Golly Wow" - Stylistics soothing and gentle..."O Pretty Lady" - Trooper, lovely melody, "You've Got A Friend" - James Taylor, - 'every body's song' etc. etc. However, a lot of the tunes are not quite in the range of a baritone tenor, but could be modified by key (?) - "Let's Stay Together" - (Rev.) Al Green..."Times of Your Life" - Paul Anka, "If Lovin' You Is Wrong" - Luther Ingram..."Angie" - The Rolling Stones...

By the way, Lou Rawls was one of my faves...Frank Sinatra once said he had the "silkiest chops in the business"...still saddend by his death earlier this year...
