i am unable to access the internet from home computer. have a wireless router and second computer which can, but the home unit will not get to net. any possible explanations or files on system that i can check for the cause? will get answers if net works or can use different computer, but may have to wait til tuesday since access will be from library system.

found problem was in router. needed to be unplugged, allowed to sit for a few minutes so it could reset itself. thanks. will try to be more informative about any other problems, but don't know enough about this one to really add further details.

Is the home computer the wireless one? Do you get a connnection when directly connected to the router? If there is no connection detected on the wireless one, check that the SSID is being broadcast and that the encryption keys are the same on both the router and the wireless computer. Use the wireless networking wizard ...you really need to provide more information.
