The man shivered in his hastily made snow shelter, around his feeble fire, drawing his thick coat around him as tightly as he could, to savour as warmth as he could manage. He couldn't fall asleep. No, not here, he didn't know if he'd ever wake up, so he stayed awake, staving of the drowsiness that threatened to consume him. He listened fearfully to the wind outside, concentrating lest he missed any noise that could be a search party. As he strained his ears he thought he heard footsteps, plodding through the snow. Wide eyed he stared hopefully into the blackness of the polar night. As he listened he became certain that there was someone there, but as the steps became louder he noticed an odd, nonhuman like quality. For a start he could here four feet, not two. He remonstrated himself. Of course, they'd never send a searcher out alone. But as the thudding became louder in his ears he began to wonder, it definitely wasn't human. As the padding feet came closer to his shelter, he clenched his frost bitten hands, expecting a polar bear to poke it's head round the corner. He saw a nosed and stopped breathing. He was almost relieved when he saw it belonged to a wolf. He shooed it away with a flaming stick, but the movement caused him to lose precious heat, opening his body to the piercing cold. As he put the stick back onto the fire he wondered whether if he died, would the wolf and its pack would return. The sobering and morbid thought seemed to make the cold bite harder than it had before. He was alone, and his fire was going out. He yawned, to weak now to keep his eyes open, the struggle had proved too hard. He shunned the pain of his body and stepped into the peaceful world of his mind, alone with his memories. He thought of the Greek island that was his home, and how he longed to be back there. He thought of the jelly beans his daughter made him when he visited, their sweet sugary taste. He dreamt of the island's rolling green golf courses where he wiled away many an afternoon, and the gentle breezes he so loved of the island's Autumn gently blew his soul away.
I'm a morbid sort of chap ain't I? I get given such nice words and I bring death into the equasion, shame on me.

What is a polar bear doing on a Greek island, munching on jelly beans playing with Tiger Woods on the verdant golf course and enjoying the gentle breeze blowing from the calm blue sea?
Well, a bit cheating coz this is just a long sentence and not a paragraph.

This year, I decided to take a long extended vacation and complete some life long dreams. First, I went to a Greek island and laid in the sand. I could feel the gentle breeze caress my body. Next, I traveled to play on the golf coursed used during the Masters Golf Tournament. My next stop was a frigid one. However, it was worth it when I got to ice skate with a polar bear. Finally, I went to a factory and tasted every variety of jelly beans they made. After the hot pepper flavored one, I literally blew flames from my mouth. I knew than that it was time to head home and have a vacation from my vacation.

A polar bear swam to a Greek island because he heard it had all the free jelly beans any bear could eat. After eating his fill of this delicious candy, he slept under the shade of a large tree on a beautiful golf course where a gentle breeze was blowing.

After I got off the airplane at the Greek Island where my family members lived, I was suprised by the lovely sunshine and gentle breeeze that made my heart swell with happiness. My uncle came to pick me up. He obviously had forgotten about me. Stuffing jelly beans in his face, he expilaned that he had just returned from the golf course, and did not have lunch yet. He asked if I wanted to stop for some authentic Greek Cuisine and I said no, because I was tired. He asked my why Americans ate polar bears and I just laughed.

This was our first holiday on a Greek island. At first it was so hot, I started fantasizing about polar bears in the arctic. Later we met another couple who invited us to the golf course, where we played golf and sucked jelly beans, while a gentle breeze wafted off the sea.

Mr highers was watching a documentary on polar bears, when an advertisment came in, which showed a golf course... suddenly he also felt like golfing, so he took his map, because he sitll didnt know the way around well on the greek islands and his favourite pack of jelly beans and went of to the golf course. when he arrived he looked up, and thought, that it was much better than sitting at home. because at home, there wasnt any gentle breeze....

A burly white polar bear was, with pounding footsteps, walking at a good pace yet with somewhat slow grace to a popular golf course. It was situated at the pleasant Greek Island. There, though happy to enjoy a gentle breeze soothingly blowing through his dense fur, he suddenly felt strongly hungry and went in search of food. He went searching more thoroughly where he was currently located, in the woods, and finally fell upon some jelly beans. They were excellent. Finally, he decided Greek Island was highly too good to leave and decided to stay there for the rest of his (overall) happy days...
Hope you liked it! ; )
P.S. Great questions-- very interesting.

You'll never see a POLAR BEAR eating JELLY BEANS on a GREEK ISLAND because they are too busy enjoying the GENTLE BREEZE of a GOLF COURSE as they hit a hole-in-one!
