Loy kratong is nov 5th this year & im not sure where in LOS i want for the festival this year?.In the past ive been in Samui,Phuket,Krabi,Pattaya & Ko Samet,but this year i fancy somewhere near the Mekong river or even one of the Big lakes in Issan.
So any ideas?

Hey! Nov 5th is Guy Fawkes' Day. Ooops, it's MY B-day too. Imagine that, and Loi Kratong as well. This year may just end nicely after all.

I had a Loy Krathong once on Koh Phi Phi.
A local made a small "boat:" of flowers and placed 3 joss sticks on it. When it was time, we went to the pier and tried to let it float off. Obviously the waves prevent it from going far, and it sank. But I had a great time after that with parties at one of the pubs/discos by the sea.
The second time I did it in Bangkok itself. Very very crowded and not as personal and friendly.

hi yeah Chandigarh!! Diwali the suitable competition right here... All lightning properties, finished sky lightnings, diyas, crakers throughout and.... Chandigarh - Sukhna Lake at that day is the main appealing place on earth and various i cant describe. We even have started making some arrangements in homestead. Diwali!! Eagerly waiting...!
