Musial was not a pitcher.
I am glad peolpe are getting what I am talking about. Of course anyone in the HOF is not overrated. What happens when you start to rank, do you think of them.

I don't think that Aaron is underrated. But, I definitely believe that Robinson and Musial are. Those two are arguably two of the greatest all-around players ever. Compare their stats to Joe D.

I believe Frank Robinson is underrated today. I don't think younger fans or even young players realize how good he was. The man was dominate in both leagues. Not to many players that you can say that about.
Overall I think todays generation does not respect the players from the past. Even those in the Hall. They only recognize what the see in front of them.

My brother and I had a discussion much like this this summer after visiting the hall of fame in Cooperstown.

His contention, and after a LOT of discussion, he convinced me that Stan "The Man" Musial is THE most under rated player in baseball history.

Sometimes the older more seasoned players get left out of lists. Its sad really. Don't forget names like Doerr, Dom DiMaggio, Bob Feller and The Real "PUDGE" Carlton Fisk. Some of the younger fans are more interested in how much money an athlete makes than the contributions that they made to get baseball to where it is today.

Aaron, no. I saw that thing on ESPN Classic that claimed he was one of the top 20 underrated. Well HRs put people in the seats so they talk about his HRs. Yeah he could play but underrated to me is more forgotten then just not remembered for all their skills.
Robinson, proably.
Musial, YES. Who really remembers him when bringing up the best pitchers. Yeah I know the people who watched him but that was almost 40 years ago.

Considering all won MVPs and are in the HOF, they are not really underrated. Comparing them to other greats they probably are esp. Aaron who was a really good base runner and fielder too but just not flashy.

Aaron and A-Rod...Aaron might want to be the sparkling variety a million except you wait 8 years for A-rod to interrupt the abode run record...and that i'm basing my vote on A-rod on the actual undeniable reality that he develop right into a large protective shortstop, who develop into in basic terms compelled to bypass to an unfamiliar position because of the selfishness of an inferior participant....offensively a-rod's season averages exceed mays'.
