Find a hobby, hang out with friends and family and try not to jump into a rebound situation with first sorting out what went wrong. It generally takes a year to get yourself back on track.

Well I've been on this block a time or two...or three...anyhow, that's really not important....Keep busy, keeping busy keeps your mind off off of things...go out with your friends, do things with your kids, work some o.t. at work. Anything except sit around and dwell on what's causing your heartbreak. Remember, when one door closes, another one opens.

This is the time for you to do whatever you want. Take the time to think about everything, go for walks, go to the library, go fishing, do things to keep your mind occupied. Talk to family and friends, go out with them. You might be alone but that doesn't mean you have to be lonely.

Friends, exercise, writing in your journal, volunteer work, Keep your mind and body busy. Prayer also can work wonders.
We tend to judge ourselves so much harsher than we judge anyone else. Be kind to yourself, treat yourself well. Write little letters to yourself everyday and express your feelings about what is happening, your thoughts, your goals, your dreams.
