Fourth child? Like there's any muscle tension left to slow it down...
My wife had her first contraction 1.5 hours before she delivered our child. It varies per person...

I was 1 week early, one week late and two weeks late. The baby will come when it's ready.
I can fully appreciate your anxiety and it's hard to relax with 3 other kids to look after. The midwife is there to answer and listen to you. I had 2 false alarms with the 2nd. Since I live so far away from the hospital I had to stay in over night both times. They did try to tell me it was only pee but I was sure it was leaking waters!!But they still took care of me and eased my concerns. Then when I was in with the 3rd, there was another woman pregnant with her 5th and she didn't know if she was in labour or not! So it's different every time.
Anxiety will tire you out and the last thing you need is to be stressed, so make sure you speak to the right person about how you're feeling.
Good luck. Hope it's not too long a wait! x

Oh thats so cool have been due on the comparable day.. besides yeah its additionally my first and that i will say that generally contractions merely sense like tension and your abdomen tightening a lot and such as you mentioned now and back they sense like PMS cramps and now and back some back discomfort is in touch, i be attentive to that ive had contractions i couldnt even walk via, im additionally in basic terms approximately 2 centimeters dialated and slowly dropping my mucus plug, its all ordinary, whether you pass some extra days extra, my next appointment is on march 1st, in case you previous the 40 week mark you could try blue and black cohosh to get labour going, in basic terms a pair drops on the tongue of each and every a pair cases an afternoon would desire to do the trick, or nipple stimulation yet that takes sooooooo a lot persistence... besides they in all probability wont set off you precise away.. they might whether set a date between the 28 and the march 12/13 to set off you incase you dont pass into labour during that factor! besides sturdy success with each and everything!!! congrats on your tiny equipment deal!!!

Every pregnancy is different ... I am also due Sept. 20th and having only braxton-hicks contractions. Try walking A LOT and sex .... the semen contains prostaglandins which help start contractions. And just keep telling yourself "it won't be long" ... I know it's hard & we are SO READY for the babies to get here - but it's only around the corner! Good luck to you & your new baby!

Sorry about your miscarriage. When I was 39 weeks pregnant, all I had was the Braxton-Hicks contractions, never the labor ones. If you're still concerned, check with your doctor and let them know that you aren't experiencing contractions. Good luck with everything!

i wouldn't have thought a miscarriage would have any effect on this pregnancy especially so near to your due date. don't worry if you don't get contractions yet i finally had my boy at 41 weeks pregnant and most doctors will let you go to 42 weeks before considering inducing labor. good luck with everything i'm sure you'll be fine
Congrats on the new arrival!

chill girl !!
my fourth was the longest labour of all i had strong braxton hicks for a week then a 36 hour labour !! all the others were over in 12 hours!
i was desperate and tried
castor oil (dont go there!)
fresh pineapple
raspberry leaf tea
curry/chilli
and the only thing that worked was
a yoga ball !! i bounced around allday on it and hey presto it worked for me !
good luck and dont worry make the most of the time you have free with the others and get out with them as you will be cooped up with newborn soon

No but stress might - try to relax - this time next week or the week after you'll be wishing you relaxed more because with a newborn and 3 others it will be most tiring!
You of all people should know that he or she will come when they are good and ready so just chill.
Best of luck to you and all your wee ones.

Try walking every day to see if it brings some contractions on. You could also try the old wives tales about sex, curries etc, they won't hurt although I don't know how effective they are.
It may just be a good idea to see your midwife or doctor and ask if they think its worth doing a sweep to get you started.
