Ten cents for me ..The store cashier kept screaming rude remarks over the intercom...I just stopped pumping gas and paid for it and went next door...I had a evil happy smile when i went and paid for the gas....lol

back when i was in high school (1996) it only took $8.00 to fill my tank up (it was like a $1.00 a gallon) I put $2.00 in once. now it takes $30.00 or more to fill my tank

One day I was down to the red line and the "Low Fuel" light was screaming at me. I had no cash on me or my ATM card with me, and I was exhausted from a long day with 6th graders.
I dug in the floor board and dug up either 50 or 75 cents. The cashier at the station said it happens all the time, but I felt like an idiot. It got me home though!

I think I once put something like thirty five cents worth in, because that's all the money I had on me. But then, it was back in the '60s when gas was about seventeen cents a gallon, so it got me where I was going.
