Above answers are correct in that Vegas never closes. But Christmas day is very, very crowded, really! Lots of folks don't recognize it has a holiday, their religion, etc. And lots like to spend that day there. So be prepared for crowds.

Flights before and after Christmas are expensive but sometimes flights on Christmas day can be cheaper. So, be sure to make hotel/motel reservations as soon as possible and have fun!

Casino's never ever ever EVER close... unless they are out of business or unless they have been bombed.. like Harveys Tahoe Casino back in the 80's. In fact christmas is an excellent time to go if you want to avoid crowds. But please, Vegas? Why not go to Tahoe for christmas, where you can gamble AND ski when you are bored of gambling... which is a mind numbing activity. And yes, ski resorts are open on christmas too.

A city that never sleeps including Christmas Day.

All the casinos are open as usual. You can probably catch a couple of special holiday shows while you are there, and certainly special holiday meals (buffets).
