Its pure hydrogen. You could stand really close to it. Picture a really hot candle, no big deal.

I think I have it perfect. Scorpio Sun, Leo moon, Scorpio rising My sun is in the first house, which is great. If I could change one thing I would move my Pluto from the 12th house somewhere else :) I think I have a very good control over the negative traits of Scorpio, and I take good things from it. I still have a lot to do in order to better myself but I hope I will get there eventually. I enjoy learning about my stars and I am trying to improve myself based on what I learn. It would be a hassle to start from the beginning, since every position has some positive and negative traits.

Depends from where the mass was taken. Were you to take a mass 400 miles from the very center of our sun, the mass, itself, would have an acceleration value of almost 186,000 per sec. In that the energy being released would convert mostly into radiation, you might be safe if you were standing 1/2 mile away - just a guess. If you were interested, you could plug in E = mc2.

With a speck that small, you could hold it with a pair of fireplace tongs and not feel unpleasantly warm. The sun's surface has a temperature of about 6,000 K, so a piece throws about 80 times as much heat as a piece of white-hot steel (2,000 K) of the same size. (Radiation goes as the 4th power of temperature.)

Solar matter isn't that dense. It's only about 1.5 times that of water.

you wouldn't fry. you would be crushed. the density of solar matter is such that the specks gravity would obliterate you. :)
