What I do is buy that pet stain remover at Walmart's or some such store and use it.. NOW.. what I do is spray the stuff onto the spot(s) and then I put down a CLEAN absorbant cloth onto the sprayed spot... then I put something heavy onto the cloth and let it be that way for a few hours.. I have had good luck.. the cloth absorbs the stain.

You have to extract this out, is it urine stains? If so I guarantee it has soaked through to the under pad and if this stained under pad is not removed and new is pieced in you will always have a bad odour lingering in that room. So get a carpet machine, remove the stained area of the under pad, clean and disinfect the floor area and piece in new under pad. Steam clean the back side of your carpet where it is stained, relay the carpet then steam clean the carpet. Sorry but there is no product you can buy that will clean both sides of the carpet and clean the under pad where it is damaged as well as the floor. But wouldn't it be so nice and easy if there was. One word of advise, if you do try some products and that stain is not removed it will only get harder to get out because you will be working that stain into the carpet and possibly dying the colour and making it a permanent stain. Call in a carpet cleaning company that knows what their doing if you feel this is to much work.

Woolite Pet Stain Remover works pretty well. Just spray on carpet and scrub with wet sponge or towel.
