If there was peace here on Earth I do believe someone would want to screw it up for everyone else.

I think there will always be differences of opinion. Whether those differences escalate to fighting or not depends on the maturity of the people involved.

For example, let me toss a difference of opinon your way: I think that you should have written "If there WERE only peace. . . " instead of "If there was only peace. . ." I also think that you should have written "Would we still try TO find . . ." rather than "Would we still try and find . . ." Hmm. That turned out to be two differences of opinion--a double whammy.

So, what do you think? You wanna fight about it?

(PS: If you really are a witch with a cute butt, no fair putting a hex on me.)

Some people will always be stupid, illogical and rascals who will torture, make differences and exploit others. They will play politics with innocent people. There were, are and will be people who have nothing else to do but tease and harras others just for nothing.
Unfortunately, these people who are nothing but a disease and parasites of the universe can never be destroyed permenantly.
WAR IS INEVITABLE.
Life is a big war itself. You gotta fight it, if you really wanna LIVE.

Only the people who have low self esteem and are uneducated will need something to fight about. Mature, rational people won't... Start breeding people like Bush out of the human race.

In the US and western Europe during our years of military peace, we engaged in nonviolent discourse that got very heated. But we never broke into civil war amongst ourselves. On the other hand, in other parts of the world (middle east) people are not happy unless they are killing someone. It's cultural, I think.

I hope not. I was really hoping for flying backpacks by 2006,
a cure for cancer, altzheimers, diabetes, or spinal cord injuries.
Guess most of the research money is being used to kill other
human beings.
Very sad, like being thrown back into the dark ages.

sorry, competition and war are a part of human nature, we'll always need an enemy, the only way I can think humans will stop fighting among themselves is if they face an inhuman mortal danger to the entire species.

Someone, somewhere will always not like something. There will never be peace on Earth until Jesus returns.
