First of all I DID NOT say that I wanted to SEE the footage. There is no way that I could watch it! The question was asked of me and I did not know. Second, because you are soooooo perfect and have nothing more to do but sit around on the computer and criticise other peoples mistakes, I DO APOLOGIZE for mine of the E instead of the I! Futher more, if you felt so disturbed by my Q. you could have skipped it and answered the next one and maybe that individual would have gave a bleep about your sarcastic and unnecessary answer.

I'm a Steve Erwin fan also i cried so hard when i found out he died at first i thought it was s rumor then when i saw it all over the news & the internet I knew it was true even though i wish it wasnt. I've been listening to the news & i heard last night that they had asked the family of Steve to see if it was going to be a public viewing then they were supposed to let everyone know sometime last week i live in Indiana & they advertise alot of it on msnbc also u can go to there website www.msnbc.com alot of times it listed there well i hope this answers youre ? for you .

Second of all they NEVER planned to release it.
It's not like it's meant to be " Coming to a DVD store near you "
I have absoloutely no respect for people who ask this question..
Whilst typing in your question did you not realise there were 100s of similar question below it, where it matches your words with other questions?
The footage is not on the Internet it is with police in Australia, being compiled into the coroners report..
there is a thousand other posts you could have found to find this answer, Honestly it is not that hard.

I think it will eventually be released. I don't think Steve would really be against it either as it shows the deadliness of that particular animal, and they were filming for a show called worlds deadliest. And he liked to film and show the world everything. It is very sad to see him go.

I heard an interview with a friend of his that said they were going to destroy the video once the police were done with it.
