...outsmart the automatic flushing toilet?
Come on now, you have to admit, it's just bizarre!
You sit, you do your thing, you get up, it flushes.

Yes... Oh my goodness, that's too funny. I have tried to outsmart it. I have actually accomplished it once. The trick is to get up to the side where the sensor is not. The thing works when you block the sensor and then move out of the way. So, if you lean over and stand up to the left (or whatever side), it won't flush until you put your hand or something in front of it.... Man, I have too much time on my hands!

I hate those toilets!!! There was one at this place where it would flush before you even got up. Not heathly at all. What were they thinking? Less germs by putting your hand on the handle and flushing it yourself? You still have to wash hands after leaving a rest room anyway.

Yes, I hate those auto-toilets. I usually flush it immediately before using it to get it not to flush while I am using it.

Easy answer...
Take a piece of toilet paper and drape it over the sensor...then it can't see what's going on and won't flush. When you're done, simply remove it and it will flush.

Back to Kojak's answer - it's kinda freaky thinking about covering the sensor so "it can't see what's going on" hahaha - otherwise I guess I never thought about trying to outsmart it

Hm, maybe it's just me, but sometimes I wish it were smarter. I hate looking for the manual flush button!

I hate when it flushes before I'm done!! YUCK!!!
(I'm one who never actually sits on the seat...just squats. So it miscalculates sometimes, & I get a spray of water while I'm trying to pee!!)
