yes of course you will get used to it. Learn to walk on some hard surface, not on the carpet. First several times your feet will be tired after wearing stilettos, but you should learn to walk on them after two times.
For me now high heels are more convenient than running shoes, or flip-flops.
And it is not about height, I noticed that some shoes are steady, some aren't. Unsteady shoes are hard to walk in, even if they have a medium heel. Make sure that the ones you are buying aren't extremely unsteady.

SInce my own feet are so flat I fell more comfortable in 4" heels than flat shoes. A foot dr explained to me that the high heel was putting the arch back in my foot, where there was none. I never had a problem, but I should tell you, I have seen women "clumping along" in them and it looked ridiculous!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Pracice in front of a mirror. ANd rememer heel-toe-heel-toe ect. Don't just stamp the entire foot down when you walk. This is what I mean by clumping along. In other words be consious of what your foot is doing as you walk........take a step put your heel down then the toe.

2 things.
1) foot coushins. these will prevent your foot from sliding forword in the shoe, and making your toes hang out over the end ( not cute).
2) non-slips. these attach to the bottom of the shoe and prevent you from sliding.
After you get those two things, practice, practice, practice. Walk around your house with them. Maybe put them on with your lingerie for a an added treat for your man:)

if its ur first pair of high heels, u hafta giv urself time 2 get used 2 it. its a good thing they arent too high, or else u hav a bigger chance of falling. practice walking around in them abt a week b4 by walking on ur tiptoes w/ them on. then, as u get more used to them, start shifting ur weight so ur back to how u would normally stand. and if u arent used 2 them and u walk around in them for a long time, eventually ur feet will start to hurt. thats y u hafta give urself time 2 get used to it.

well most people start off wearing small heals and then they make their way up to wearing them for hours and if you wear them all day you will get use to it.
