Whenever i'm DJ-ing out, at clubs etc, if i get too excited or nervous or even very slightly, subconciously uptight, and i've had ANY fluid drinks (non-alcoholic or alcoholic), i reach a point where i'm hiccupping / swallowing so much air, that i really do have to leave, and go! a big build-up of air that cannot escape just makes me want to urge after it gets that bad. this is really upsetting me as i've never been able to burp. antacids don't help because it's too late, nor does more fluid. any suggestions on this please? is there ANYTHING ANYBODY knows of that can instantly relieve this without me having to belch. also, when i do eventually get home etc, it subsides after i relax. i'm not after answers about relaxation therapy thanks, that's long-term. i s'pose i'm after a quick solution.

You could try drinking through a straw, there will be less air in it.

When you are excited or nervous do you ever take the time to breathe in or out. In your description you it sounds to me like you you are continuously speaking and that is what is causing you to swallow so much air. Breathe in and out as you are speaking and take a couple seconds to stop speaking about every other sentence. You said fluids do not help. Have you ever tried this?Standing, up pouring an 8 ounce glass of ice cold water, drinking it all at once (can't remove the glass away from mouth until it is ALL gone), then bend over touching your toes. When you position your self back into the upright standing position sit down. It might burp immediately or it may take a couple of minutes.

check your family history if anyone has gallstone in the gallbladder.. sometimes it' s a genetic issue..if yes you should have a special diet and work out in a regular basis.. if you feel pressure in your chest and upper back, you should put this in your consideration and take immediate action .. and there's another possibility that the atmosphere of the club or places you go is full of smoke and you might be allergic to tobacco's smoke.. try to figure out what'r the mean factors and relate them with when have these symptoms started with you ..

OK, I'll tell you something that works everytime for me, I hope it works for you! It's so easy you won't believe me... hold your breath... release ALL and I mean ALL of your breath first, then hold it until you can't hold it anymore(don't worry you can't kill yourself holding your breath, and if you think your about to die BREATH DAMMIT!). After you feel like you need to breathe due to lack of oxygen hold it longer. OKAY now stop, breath in and the hiccups should be gone. Good Luck!

Avoid fizzy drinks and milk based drinks on the days you plan to go out. and I mean the entire day. Drink water or juice instead. It helps.

Slow down, don't feed into the frenetic energy and your body will respect you for it.
