Ripley's used to have a museum on Fisherman's Wharf in San Francisco -- maybe still do. I won't say it is the oddest thing there, but the one that impressed me most was a collection of pins, needles and other sharp things that had all been swallowed by a little girl with a very serious mental problem. They did eventually kill her, but it was amazing how much she had managed to swallow before they killed her.

It was a huge wad of hair in the shape of a stomach. I think they removed it from a girl in India who was constantly eating her own hair. Instead of digesting it, the hair just built up in her stomach and eventually took on the shape. After a while, she started getting really sick, so the doctors had to surgically remove it. That was pretty gross.
