I've had a simular problem for the past 3 years - so I understand how fustrated you must be feeling. I found the best way to boost the immune system is to take garlic supplements. You can actually buy odour-free ones from most pharmacies etc. Brand wise; the best are probably allimax; which you can often get in Boots on the 3 for 2 offer (as I find they are a little expensive). I've been taking them since the start of the year and they do really make a difference. So maybe give them a try. Hope that helps.

You have my sympathy. I have suffered all my life . I have had surgery and still I get attacks. When I feel an attack coming on I sprinkle some Olbas Oil on to a tissue and inhale deeply . This either stops the attack or alleviates it.
I have also read that peeling onions or garlic help and I can imagine it does when you consider the effect it has on your ducts and nasal passages. I also try and avoid warm air heating such as a car heater or a fan heater as these tend to really aggravate the problem. Finally, if all else fails I go to sleep as an attack usually makes me very drowsy. When I awake I find the sinusitis has gone....maybe because of the deep breathing whilst asleep.
I hope this has been of help and that you find relief.

It would be wonderful to have sinusitus attacks instead of a constant chronic sinusitius, wheezing and breathing problems. Just like to have a break for a bit.
Anti-inflammatory pain killers are best for chronic sinusitis reducing the swelling and making breathing easier.
Attacks may be an agent causation, more likely a virus than an allergen, but it can be a chemical or plant irritant. Because it is more likely a virus than bacteria, antibiotics rarely (never known it) work.
When it is bad, sometimes, I think I have toothache. But tapping on all my teeth indicates it is not.

If your sinuses are clear, you need to come up with a better diagnosis.. When you attach a headache to the situation you are now bringing in a neurologic problem.. I would venture to say, if you find the notch in your eyebrow as well as the hole in the bone just below the top of the cheek bone, you will find tenderness to outright pain when pressing that area. You will find a corresponding tenderness at the base of the skull.
Should this be the case, contact me and I will give further information.

I heard about a treatment that you can have done at the hospital, kind of like the nasal flush thing, where they carry out a special procedure to prevent recurring attacks. Maybe ask your GP about it. I have only had a couple of really bad bouts of sinusitis but they were awful. You really do have my sympathies and I sincerely hope that you find a solution and soon!

saltwater solution. Get a baby nasal bulb. make a salt water solution using Un iodized salt. About a teaspoon of sale in two cups of water. Suck up a load of the water and shoot it into your nasal cavity. Inhale while doing this. Then blow everything out. When your nasal cavity drys you will be immune. Do this every time you take a shower.
Hope that helps.
