it's not real .... this is a computer program .... we are in it .... didn't you see the matrix ?

It seems that way because it is not, strictly speaking, real. Life is an illusion, however, we must redefine "illusion" for an explanation of how life is real and not real at the same time.
Creation consists of three simultaneously existing realms of reality. Each with its own vibrational energy, and relative reality. That which is truly Real is the Spiritual Realm, and this includes God and your Soul, and its Operational Energy which we may call Apapsyche.
Next is a less real realm called the MIND realm. It is a mixture of both Spiritual energy and physical matter, but it cannot be perceived by the brain and physical senses. Nor can it perceive the Spiritual realm.
Finally we have the physical realm including your brain, physical senses, and all the things we "think" are real. This is a realm of relative reality. 'That is, things on the physical plane of existence are subject to change even while we are watching them.
Truth only exists on the Spiritual realm. But relative truth exists on both the MIND realm and the physical realm. The truth we know on the physical realm seems quite true, but, being subject to change, it can't really be Truth in an absolute sense.
Finally, when you hit your thumb it hurts. The pain is real... relatively speaking. That is, since your thumb is physical, the hammer is physical, and both are on the physical plane, the pain is real.... relatively speaking. But your thumb will become dust after you die, but YOU, your Soul, does not die, but simply moves into the MIND realm, and spends some time there before re-entering the physical plane again, as another person, to continue your exploration and experiencing of life.
By the way, your MIND is an individual MIND, and part of the universal MIND, and both your Soul and individual MIND keep company as long as your Soul travels through Creation.

Yeah, but really life is choices. Choices that set a course for us for the future. Sometimes, we have to change course by making a new decision.
Some of us go through life making poor choices and we end up on a course that takes us to unpleasant shores, such as crime or quitting school. Getting "in" with the wrong crowd and doing drugs.
It is possible to (once there) change course and find more pleasant shores, but some people hit rocks and have to rebuild first. Treatment. Bankruptcy. You get the picture.
Make decisions with the "big picture" in mind. Where is this course going to take me and is there a better way? Good luck.

LIFE IS REAL! what makes it unbelievable is the way we think or accept it. it's our own perception that sometimes we love to believe while sometimes we hate to see the truth

Sometimes I think when your awake Is the time your really dreaming and when your sleeping and dreaming thats when your really alive. I think thats why god lets us dream. Thats the only time things really seem real to me

Some things are too good to be real....
while other things are too too too terrible to possibly be true....
