contacts....?

i want contacts soo bad cuz my glasses irritate me.does anyone know if they hurt or irritate your eyes

Well it depends on how you care for your contacts. You need to be responsible before you get contacts. I have contacts and they dont irritate me at all. But ive gotten irritated a couple of times, im not going to lie. Because you need to wash them with Saline solution before each and every use. Do not use VISINE while you have the contacts in your eyes, it will damage them. You need to soak the contacts in solution every night.. Do not LEAVE YOUR CONTACTS IN. because the next morning you'll regret it. and you have to be sure not to rip the contacts if you have long nails. and you have to wash your hands everytime you are about to put in your contacts because if you have lint or hair on your finger or even soap it'll kill your eye, it'll hurt so bad. and contacts dont make you feel like you are looking through a fish bowl.. because thats how glasses make me feel.. contacts make everything more clearer. good luck! any questions? email me!

I've been wearing contacts for years, and the only time they irritated me was when I first got them and it took like an hour to get them in. You get used to that in like two days, though. I love contacts.

Randomly, they irritate my eyes when I go into some big city with a lot of pollution (I went to NYC for a week or so, and had major eye troubles) - but I think that's just me.

it depends on the contacts and the sensitivity of your eyes. i don't know how old you are, but i began wearing contacts when i was in the 8th grade and i am now pushing 34. back then they mainly used the gas-permeable lenses, which are hard and thick and they were just coming out with the soft contact lenses.

i tried to put some gas permeable ones in because they were more economical and durable. i couldn't keep them in either eye for more than a few seconds.

these days, they have great soft lenses that you can't even feel. you just have to get over the fear of touching your eyes, but contacts provide better vision because you can see out of your periphery much better than wearing glasses, because glasses have a gap there, leaving blindspots.

i have the same problem as you with glasses irritating me. they give me headaches, and i only wear them when i need to rest my eyes from the contacts.

i use weekly disposable. they are *great*
i say go for it if you can.

Well they dont hurt to put them on but are you comfortable putting them to your eyes? About them getting irritated well it depends on the person and on the brand some can irritate and some will work out fine. Good luck.

No they do not hurt or irritate your eyes unless you leave them in overnight or don't wash them properly in the contact solution. One thing though if you cry with them in they get blurry and it makes you more tired and you just need to take them out and use solution and clean them. I've worn them for 9 years, you'll be fine.

I've been wearing contacts for almost 15 years now. In the begining it feels like something is in your eye and it's annoying. You get used to it. The biggest problem is putting them on and taking them off. Again you get used to it.

i have contacts and I'm really glad i got them. The only time they irritate your eyes is when you have pink eye or something in them. If you get the hydro-clear kind they wont dry out and its like you don't even have them in your eyes.

I have had contacts for many years. My eyes only bother me because of my allergies. If you follow the directions of your eye care professional, you should have no problems with contacts. I find that there are only a couple of solutions that do not make my eyes burn, one of them is Opti Free.

I wear contacts and they do hurt sometimes but most of the time they don't. u should get contacts (i do this) that u wear at night and take out in the morning AND then u can SEE! its really awesome. u can ask ur eye doctor about it or check the internet. they are expensive but its totallly worth it. check it out!

im 13 and i got contacts a little while ago. i love them. it took me a few days to actually get the courage about touching my eye. haha. well i did. and they are perfectley fine. and every so often, thay fold up or fall out . but that doest happen often. so i think youll be fine. and youll look totally cute !! omg!
