I am an Orthodontist and probably can answer your question. It is very rare to put a brace on a single tooth. Remember the simple logic about how the braces work "for every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction". To move that one tooth, you have to get anchorage from other teeth. In addition, how do you know that only one tooth has to be fixed? That tooth may look obvious to you but let your Orthodontist decide on the treatment plan. I had been in practice for about 10 years and I never placed one bracket. So, obviously dont think it will be any cheaper. Hope that helps.

I don't really undertand your question, but if you were going to get braces for one tooth that would be quite unethical, they would just give you a retainer to wear at certain times of the day.
