he was shot to death,and he was the first rap fatality to happen. I wasn't a fan,per se, but I loved the deeper meaning of his poerty. Having never heard his songs,I can't say one way or the other,if his music was bad or not,but I did read his poetry,and I liked some of it. Oh,and those eyes...!!!!

He was killed in Las vegas after a Mike Tyson fight. On September 6, 1996. He died seven days later in a hospital September 13, 1996. never found killer.

Actually he died from loss of blood and internal injuries. the gunshots were just the cause of those injuries.
