Whenever I run for some time like a minute or minute and half without stopping I stop, my heart goes crazy, beats really really fast. Why is this? I was with my sister and we did the measuring method of beats in 10 seconds x 6 = heart rate in minute and mine came out to be like 200 , we did it again after running the next lap and it was 230

for more information I am overweight and drink alot of caffeine (canned soda). I also am vegan. my sister was freaked out by this so I said it was because I was vegan, and that my heart was superhuman

If you are trying to get healthy and fit, you need to start slow. If you go to hard to fast at running or any other exercise, you will stress your body out and it will cause your heart to race. You need to do things in moderation. Caffeine is not good for you either. Try drinking water instead.

Heart Beats Fast

If your heart were superhuman it would beat slower, if your healthy your heart doesn't beat as fast...to an extent. The average heart rate most say is about 60-90 beats per minute (Resting heart rate). A truly healthy persons heart rate is about 60-80 BPM. Take your heart rate before you exercise then after you run to compare the difference.

Also try taking your heart rate more accurately by beats in 30 seconds x 2, or count out for the full minute.

Hopefully you’re counting wrong, but if you're not and your heart rate really is 200 or more I would see a physician.

And no being vegan is not the answer. But also be careful it is truly an art to stay healthy getting all the vitamins and minerals you need by being vegan. Make sure your eating properly if you’re exercising.

Good luck

Your heart rate increases with caffeine consumption so it would be a good idea to quit caffeine since you are overweight as well. As for your heart reaching 230 bpm that is way to high and you are at risk for heart problems. The cause is that you are aerobically out of shape and your heart needs regular exercise to lower your heart rate. Just think how hamsters only live for a few years because their hearts are racing at a very high rate all the time. this is unnecessary stress on the heart and it weakens the muscle in time causing heart failure.

Lie in bed, check your heart beat. That is your resting heart rate.
When you run, afterwards check your heart beat several times to see how fast it goes back to your resting heart rate. The quicker it goes back, the better shape you are in.

The more you run, the more conditioned you will become. Your heart will drop lower and lower.

I am athletic. My MAXIMUM heart rate now is 120. It drops, in less than 4 minutes, to 80 when I am resting.

Pushing your heart beat to the max from time to time makes the heart stronger and the body stronger. You can get the same results by climbing up and down stairs, using The Step, etc. And less stress on the body because there is no running.

That's perfectly normal. It's actually healthy to get your heart rate up, as it speeds up your metabolism and gets the blood flowing through your veins.
