A quitclaim deed signs over whatever interest she had in the property at the time she signed it. It's like handing someone a box saying "whatever is in here is what you get".

What that interest was, and whether it was transferable, depend on the state, whether it follows community property laws, and the original ownership deed of the proper while you were married.

Laws vary by state, and outcomes can vary based on many details, not just the ones mentioned above. If you want a definite answer, you need to consult with a licensed attorney.

First of all speak to an attorney free advice! Also I dont think he can claim any ownership nor do I think that you would have to give him half of the worth of the house if he has signed the quit claim before you got divorced. I am not an attorney though and it depends on what state you live in.

Depends on the laws of your state; whether the deed is to your primary residence; whether it has been recorded; & who is asking (deeds may be "good" as between parties & not as between parties & third parties.)
