Try a salon.

The trick to shaving is to wet your skin & let it soften from the heat & moisture. You don't want to shave dry skin. Shaving is a natural exfoliator & you'll clog up the razor with dead skin while putting yourself at risk for nicks.

There's no need to waste your money on shaving creams formulated especially for women. They are virtually the same as the creams sold for men. (Now if you can just find a scent you can live with).

You are going to have to experiment with razors until you find the perfect one for you. Look for a razor with lubricated strips, pivoting heads & spring-mouonted multiple blades. The Gillette Venus razor is great. Another great & new bet: Schick Quattro for Women, which has 4 super-thin blades & a pivoting head.

Be sure to change razors or cartridges on a regular basis, a dull blade can lead to nicks. Also, it's best not to borrow your guy's razor. His hair is coarser & will dull a blade. (Plus, don't men typically hate it when women borrow razors?)

Be sure to exfoliate your skin before shaving. It gets rid of all the dead skin cells that could clog up your razor, preventing a close shave.

With your thumb and your index finger, spread the armpit skin taut, till it's a nice smooth surface (except for the stubble, of course.) Now shave along the grain over and over, being careful not to go against the grain or sideways. Always do it from the top, and if you miss a hair, just keep coming from the top till you get it.

it really is maximum proper to shave adversarial to the direction of hair boom to get the nearest shave. Armpit hair many times grows in about twelve diverse guidelines, so attempt to slender it all the way down to 2 or 3 and pass with that. For mine, I many times do one vertical swipe, then a 2d and third swipe to variety an X. also, as others have stated, use a clean razor, with dissimilar blades, exfoliate, wash off any deodorant residue (it will clog the razor), and use some shaving cream or gel.

I am lucky..by some freak of nature I have never grown hair under my arms and I will be 37 next week! I asked the Dr about it once, I thought it was bizarre and he just said that I don't have any hair follicles there! I have never had to shave there!
But for my legs I use a shave gel and the Mach 3 razor...perfect!

The only way is to shave everyday like men do. If the razor hurts you try using shaving cream the one that takes off all hair. I hate
the smell of it but its also a way to do it.

That's fine with me. I would rather have stubble than raw underarms ! Have you tried Intuition razors with the soap on them?

Use a better razor or try a depilatory designed for that purpose.

Try a Venus shaver. I use it and it works great. The blades do cost WAY too much, but if it's qualitiy you're looking for, you've gotta pay for it!!

Use hair condition instead of shaving cream.
