If so, how much more? 1 item, 2? Maybe a whole cart full?

I don't, because I get annoyed at people who go to the express lane with too many items. The reason for using the express lane is so you can get out quicker if you only go to the store for a couple things, not the people who fill two carts of stuff. When you buy that much, you have to expect you're going to have to wait, you can't just breeze through.

I rarely shop at the supermarket. I like the Costco (which has no express) and the other Club Stores the best. Even Trader Joe's (my other favorite) has no express.
If I ever do go to the regular stores, I count my items before I get on line, but once or twice I've missed something lurking under a larger item. If I do, it's accidental and I get a little embarrassed.
On the other hand, I've been invited to go on the express by the cashier who has nothing else to do.

I have but didn't realize I was in the wrong lane until I was at the checkers post. Felt bad as I have wanted to say something to others who had been in line w/me w/ over the limit items. I was over by 3 or 4 items.

No, because I don't see any express lanes these days. Whenever I do see one, though, I never go there with more than the "allowed" items; I never buy a lot at a time.

I try not to, but sometimes after waiting there for 10 minutes (yes, the express line), I have accumulated a few more impulse items, putting me a couple over the limit. By then, I don't care, I'm not moving.
I would never ever go through with a cartload.

ok the place are you paying for that the expresslane is barely 9 products? mine is 12 or 10 and no i do no longer cheat. why? cuz it makes me very mad wheni could purchase my lunch and a few rude individual has a cart packed with stuff in the particular lane. it is rude. the only guy who cares is the only status in line at the back of and in case you purchase the materss the tag is all yours. in case you haven't any longer offered it wel lthat is is merely infantile. like ripping tags off of clothing in a dept keep.
