I suggest all natural Menopause Balance Complex. This complex uses compounds found in plants called phytoestrogens to ease mood swings, sleeplessness, and hot flashes. Black Cohosh is a clinically proven herb that helps relieve hot flashes.
Contains a standardized extract of Black Cohosh as well as Soy Isoflavones and Flaxseed. Also contains a proprietary phytoestrogen blend of dong quai, red clover, and licorice. No artificial colors, flavors, or synthetic preservatives.
Also,
Menopause Balance Complex Cooling Lotion. It's a unique blend of natural ingredients that offers soothing relief and helps reduce the often dramatic sensation of skin temperature fluctuations.
Contains a proprietary, synergistic blend of more than a dozen natural herbs including black cohosh, soy isoflavones, evening primrose extract, flaxseed, and jojoba seed oils.
It's progesterone-free and may be used as often as needed with no side effects. Pleasantly scented, and easy to use. Convenient size fits into most handbags.
Hope this is useful and feel free to contact me with questions or the website.

Been there. Done that. Mostly I was hot and cold at night. Got 2 beds so when I was kicking the covers off and putting them back on it did not disturb my husband.
There are some natural remedies that may help. Otherwise you can always get hormones. But remember this is a natural part of your life and I believe if you can do without drugs it is better.

There are several excellent sites for peri/meno/post pause:
powersurge.com is quite informative.
If you do not have estrogen issues black cohosh has been found to be helpful to many women who are flashing or have night sweats...progesterone cream is also helpful..both are available at health food stores...some say soy helps..
BTW: you need progesterone cream with USP progesterone in it...Dr. Lee has some recommendations as to brand. the more you get the better it works Yam cream does NOT work. The molecules are to big to go across the dermal(skin) barrier.

My mom is going through Menopause too, and the doctor recommended that she doesn't eat a lot of fatty meats and dairy products. (Pretty much a low fat diet).

Daily aerobics and stretching. Levels out the up-and-down flow of chemicals, of which control your emotions, in your brain.
