One day, look her straight in the face, and say, I heard what you said about me, and it really hurt, I try and do all the things that you ask of me, and I had no idea that you thought like that about me. I hope we can clear this up.

A couple of things need to be determined before you even consider a course of action.
1. What exactly was said?
2. Who did she say it to?
3. Did she say something that wasn't true?
When you have those answers, I would then bring this up to your parents. Have them get involved by either talking to that teacher directly or going to the Principal and getting him involved.
While it's possible you may have taken what she said badly, you also need to accept the fact that you don't know everything that went on with the conversation and that since it was at a game, there is plenty of room for misinterpetation.
Be prudent and talk to your parents about it and see what they want to do.
Good Luck.

i would just get with her in private and tell her that you couldnt help but over hear the conversation and ask her what the problem is...tell her that YOU are the type person that if you had a problem with HER you would come directly to her and discuss it.then ask her if she would rather you assist someone else instead of her.do all of this in a nice way that way however it turns out she looks like the idiot....good luck....

Because she is a ***** and there is no other way to describe it. Ignore the bad things people say and remember the good things, don't give this a second thought.
However, if you continue to hear her say things about you, handle this as a mature person and talk to her. Good luck!

because she is not a nice person, just 2 faced. Talk to her about it. Talk to your principal about it.

SHE MIGHT BE AFRAID THAT YOU ARE DOING A GOOD JOB AND PEOPLE ARE PAYING YOU MORE ATTENTION THAN HER, AND IF SHE BELITTLES YOU THAT WOULD AGAIN MAKE HER MORE IMPORTANT. SHE MAY HAVE A LOW SELF ESTEEM.
