Bro You got attitude all over the world these days.
Everybody I know from South Africa seems like probably the nicest people on the planet. ( may be cause I dont know any!)
Its all in your preception too, like they said upstairs...You were possibly making a sincere observation but you are sort of generalizing. the most obnaxious attitudes I know are AMERICAN! But Hey, 99% of everyone I know is american. Think thats cause I live in Texas?
Also, sometimes its just a cultural misunderstanding.
In Texas we'll do some pretty "rude" stuff, but its all cool here, up north they may just try to shoot you!
What when I call my best friend the worst things I can possibly think of before I leave? any company he may have will be so "offended" or mad at me, But HEY, you should hear what he calls ME! Thats just a misunderstanding. We are just fine with it!
Try to know the History of the people and get to understand their culture, then you may see they are not so bad after all, just funny lookin! (JUST GOOFIN YALL)

I'm South African, and I don't think I have an attitude problem!!! People think I'm actually usually a nice person - just like anyone else can be!!!
By the way John-John apartheid is over and ended years ago, and not all South Africans agreed with it - actually there were many who did not and had nothing against black people, my nanny is my second mother, actually in some ways my first, and she is black!!!

I'm not going to generalise like that. I've known and worked with a few South Africans over the years - all white, all men, and all arrogant!!! But I know that's just an unfortunate coincidence and wouldn't stamp the whole population that way.
They do have a reputation here for arrogance but that may just be relative to our society....
But with that accent, I'm willing to forgive them anything! I even cheered for them at the cricket earlier this year!!!!

I've had the good fortune to know several South Africans. All but one of them were wonderful people.

Hmmm... lets see why
• You went into their country ant tried to take it over.
• You threw innocent people in jail for wanting their civil rights (Nelson Mandela)
• You demeaned these people and separated them from you because you thought you were superior (apartheid).
• And then you have the nerve to call yourself South African in their country.
This is not my opinion at all, this is just the facts.
