That people ask questions on here, especially about their marriage, and just choose the best answer that is just telling them what they want to hear? I would think if you are asking for opinions and want to learn a thing or two about relationships you try to be open to everyone's answer not just what YOU want to hear. No wonder some people complain that their marriage suck, yea we see how you really are that's why it sucks!

I think it is just human nature to want validation. Sure - most people have already made up their minds, but Answers can help reassure them - especially when they are isolated or don't have friends or family they feel they can talk to. There are also those people who might be on t he fence and use these answers to sway them one way or another. That's why I think people who do give answers should try to be as thoughtful as possible. When we give "flip" answers you never know the mental state of the person asking. I don't feel like I am one to judge if a person is asking an unimportant question.

People are not looking for answers to their questions. You are right, they already know what they want to do. They are looking for justification of their actions, or approval of same.

It seems unreasonable in some respects to let unknown individuals make decisions about your life, based on partial information of any given situation. So maybe some people use it as a reality check to make sure they fit into the majority of the norm of society.
