Sure. But things like the absence of tides would cause shifts in the ecology. Some plants and animals would do better, some worse.

There are more than ocean tides. The continents float on the liquid mantle and rise and fall. The tides stir the core. without the Moon, the crust would thicken and volcanism would decrease. The air would not be replaced by gasses from volcanic vents. This has happened on Mars and Venus which lack significant moons. Would the Earth become Mars-like, Venus-like, or stay in balance? No one knows for sure.

There's an excellent show that was on Discovery Science titled "If There Was No Moon". Try to find this. I thought I knew most of the ways the moon affects the earth, but I had no idea.

Life on Earth would continue but would change drastically. Millions of species that depend on lunar tides would have to readjust or go extinct. Additionally, almost all the biorhythms of all living things evolved under the influence of the moon and that would all change also.

The earth would exist. The earth's rotation would be greatly affected thus, resulting in massive climate changes. The world would not be the same as the one we enjoy
