For the past yr almost - every time I go to a movie theater I end up falling asleep or just doze off for a few minutes....not only that but even when I watch movies w/ my friends I fall asleep... maybe the movies are just boring but I never used to do it before, but now I always do....
I fell asleep at the premiere of the last Harry Potter movie [I missed like more than 1/2 of the movie], last night at "The Illusionist" [I missed 1/2 of the movie], dozed off for like 10 minutes during "V for Vendetta" [I love that movie tho] and lil bit at "Lake House"...when I was at my friends house I fell asleep during "Madagascar", "Pirates of the Caribbean" and some other boring movie she played umm yeah....
Does anybody else?

I've done it twice at the movie theater. Once was at "Junior" (with Arnold Schwarzenegger and Danny DeVito-a waste of film) and the second was "Married to the Mob" (with Michelle Pfeiffer-I wasn't the only one in our group who fell asleep to that one).
Now, I usually go to movies in the afternoon--for matinee rates.
I've also fallen asleep at concerts (without being under the influence of alcohol or drugs)--concerts were Grateful Dead (during drums in space) and Smashing Pumpkins (who came on after Beastie Boys).

My friends used to tease me about liking to take expensive naps. I'd pay the movie admission, get comfortable in the seat, and snooze through the movie. (I snored during Howard's End!)
It improved after I got my glasses. It seems I was nearsighted, so it was a bit of a chore to watch movies on the big screen. It was easier to close my eyes & sleep. With my glasses, I rarely fall asleep at movies now.
Have your eyes checked for nearsightedness. You never know.

I do! It started as a kid....I always fell asleep getting my hair cut (I don't anymore) and I always fell asleep in the movie theatre...but not when I was home watching movies. I still fall asleep in the theatres...I think it's the lighting for me....I used to fall asleep at my grandmas and it always reminded me of a movie theatre...real dim lit all the time, t.v. yellin' at ya.

No, I'm often too irritated at the people talking, eating loudly, checking their voicemails, quarreling with their kids, or sipping on an empty soda straw to doze off.
Are you getting enough sleep at night?
