Not sure Hitler and the Nazis did, that why many made a run for it and were hunted down for war crimes. The Bush administration abides by the Geneva Convention because they are Americans. This why they handed Sadam over to his own country I suppose.

Well no they couldn't - the convention was ratified / Adopted on 12 August 1949

Bush should honor and abide by them. Not because Hitler didn't but because 1) honor 2) love for fellow humans 3) conscience.
Hitler had none of these. Bush may not be the very best President we've ever had, but he has these qualities and therefore needs to honor the conventions.

Just because the Nazi's did it doesn't mean we don't have to either. The Nazis committed mass murder in the Holocaust, that doesn't mean we can. If we ignore the Geneva Conventions, we would be bringing ourselves down to the level of the Nazis. As the most powerful nation in the world, we should set the standard and become a model of responsibility. Ignoring the Geneva Conventions sends a bad message to the rest of the world and would endanger our own soldiers to being tortured by the enemy.

are you trying to compare Bush to Hitler? the Geneva Convention was ratified after the inhumane treatment of prisoners during the Holocaust was revealed. Hitler didn't have any regard for other human beings (the sick, the disabled, the Jews) other than what he thought was the perfect race. and so he felt that these people deserved to be tortured and executed. So you're saying that Bush should disregard human beings who are not "Americans" and torture those he feel deserve to be tortured. yeah, just like Hitler.
