If a million pounds equals to about half a million USA dollars, it doesn't seem like that much.
For a 1/2 million dollars, I would easilly eliminate my downstairs neighbour (just the guy; he's a disrespectful loud wife beater and abuser).
For a 1/2 million dollars, I would be willing to do many a stupid thing, as well as immoral ones. I think I could even go so far as to hurt an animal, but that's a tough one.... It would have to be a pest like a racoon or something.
