You breathe in oxygen and use the oxygen to burn food in your body. That gives you the energy to do all your bodily functions, like move, digest, circulate blood, think, etc.
The food you burn is mostly in the form of glucose sugar. That has the formula C6H12O6. So when you burn one molecule of sugar in a cell, you give off 6 molecules of CO2 and six of water. That's what you breath out.
Yes, we breathe out CO2, but there is no way to get around that. And anyway, the amount we breath is small, compared to the amount we produce by burning gasoline, cooking gas, oil and coal for electricity, etc.... Like, you probably only turn about ten pounds a week of food into CO2, but if you burn ten gallons of gas a week, that is probably about 300 pounds of CO2 produced.

We breath air which is approximately 80 % nitrigen. Therefore we breath ou approximately 80 %nitrogen . We also breath out enough oxygen for mouth to mouth resuscitation to work. Then we breath out carbon dioxide and water vapor. Plants use the CO2 to make sugar. Cows fart methane which is more of a problem than what we breath out.

Oxygen is exchanged for carbon dioxide in the lungs. Exhaled breathe is about 18% oxygen, 78% nitrogen and 3%carbon dioxide. See the article below

Carbon dioxide, that's what plants "breathe" in and produce oxygen.

your body will take in the oxygen it needs... and then will you would breath out all the other gases... including a slight amouth of oxygen that your body did not take in.

The more Humans and animals on the earth the more C02 is breathed out in the atmosphere. However Plants use C02 for their survival. So One effect on the atmosphere counteracts the other.

that's the nature of chemistry isn't it? two compounds with unique chemical and physical properties bond together to make new compounds with different chemical properties? N2 and O2 are totally different molecules chemically. NO, N2O, NO2 etc..are totally different chemically than either N2 or O2. OK? and as such they behave differently in organometallic reactions, (like the bonding with hemoglobin in your blood) and behave differently in the oxidation of sugars in your cells. ******** DAN... laughing gas is N2O nitrous oxide fyi.. not NO
