Do not use someone elses razor if you can't be sure they don't have hepatitis, AIDS or whatever! There's always a chance of a tiny cut that's not even visible to the human eye. After only one use, under a microscope a razor blade shows signs of damage like miniscule cracks etc. which can harbour bacteria. Chances are very slim of infecting yourself, but why risk it. Use your own stuff.

Physician here:
There is the chance of blood transmission. If this person is at high risk for HIV or hepatits C, I would worry more than if it were someone I really knew. However, to be sure, I would personally get tested. I have stuck myself with needles by accident in the hospital with hepatitis C patients. And I have NEVER developed this diseases. Your chances are greater for hep c than HIV. If you know for sure that there was ABSOLUTLEY NO CUTS or Blood loss, do not worry.
To make sure, just get tested, get it over with. You will sleep better.
Take care, Hope I helped

There could have been blood on the razor from the other guy. If you're not sick yet, it's probably OK but if it makes you feel better you could get tested.

Obviously you know this is not a good idea. Razors are just not that expensive.

You definitely should go get checked. Even if you didn't notice any skin nicks while shaving, microabrasions of the skin may occur, which open up chances to contract all forms of blood borne infections including HIV. Never share any appliances that may potentially come in contact with blood, e.g. razors, nail clippers, toothbrushes etc.

yeah it is possilble to catch hiv from someone elses razor that is infected....although very slim chance, it usually takes 6 months for it to show up, but your doctor should be more than willing to test you, it is a good idea to get tested. you are probably fine, but it's better to just know.

Calm down.....I am sure that you are fine. Don't use anyone's personal hygiene products in the future. For the most part, people do not do that in the USA. You cannot get AIDS from this.
