((NOT ACCEPTING "I DON'T KNOW"s))
Well, there's this guy who goes to my school (on the same bus, too) and I've grown to like him...the only problem is, he's gay. But the thing is, I think he's really cute and all, but all I wanna be is his friend.
What should I do? Any advice or suggestions?

P.S. I'm not getting my hopes up on turning him. That's not what I wanna do. Thank you to those who gave helpful answers. Have a super day.

Its not really an odd situation. You can be friends with him but if he is gay that is as far as it is going to go and there is nothing you can do about that. Enjoy is friendship maybe you two can learn a lot from each other.

First of all; if your friend is truly gay and has already came out, chances are he's never going to be interested in girls! Tell him how you feel; that you think he's cute, ask if he swings both ways, sometimes they do! Who knows, you could either stike up a life-long friendship, or take a walk on the wild side! Whatever happens in this case, just be sraight up on how you truly want this person to be in your life, because of the fact he's gay, you never ever want to get your hopes up for anything more than a friendship! Be careful not to expect too much!

well if you are being truthful and only want to be his friend then sit with him and start a conversation. Making friends isn't all that hard and gay guys enjoy having girlfriends. You can check out the guys together, do the whole make-up thing, see movies etc. I have lots of gay friends and believe me they are the best!!!

Just tell him that you'd like to be his friend. How do you know he's gay? Unless he flat out told you, "I'm gay..." don't make that assumption without getting your facts. Anyone can be friends, even if they're members of the opposite sex and gay. I have a friend who's gay, and we crack each other up. It's nice to have a guy you can talk to that doesn't have an ulterior motive (sex). Go for it.

I think you should say to him, well how was your day to day, just start to have a conversation with him, I am sure he will love to have a friend, some people in this position are very lonely, may be he will love to have someone to go to the library or movie with.

Talk to him, and try to be his friend just like you would with any other person. Just because he is gay doesn't mean you need to change something in order to try and get him to be your friend.

Say hello...and then just talk...being gay isn't a disease or anything...He is still just a guy.

Just talk to him but if you think you are going to turn him, don't waste your time.
