Yes, I think seeing acts of kindness remind us to be kind. I think being kind, especially when there is nothing in it for you, spreads out like ripples in water. It takes no more time to be kind than it does to be cruel. No more time or effort to smile than to frown. No more time to make someone happy than it does to make someone miserable.
I have evidence that a small act of kindness can make a person's day, save a life, turn around a career, etc. You may never know what a kind word said to someone did for them, but it is more important than you could ever guess. Just for today, say something kind and true to someone.

I wish it was but look at the human track record if someone shows kindness to the underdog they are as shunned and mocked as the underdog.

just smiling is am act of kindness and about 75% of the time, you get it back in return!
