the 1st step is to get an exam. contacts range in price drastically, so its hard to say. i suggest americas best where you can join a club for discounts. also, disposable contacts cost a lil more but are healthier for your eyes. i used to be an optician and i taught contact insertion an removal classes, plus i've worn contacts for 10 years. once you get an exam and a rx, u can shop around.

The initial time you go to the eye doctor will be more expensive since you have to have an exam for contact lenses, mine usually cost around $50 but they have sales all the time where you can get it for free with the purchase of contact lenses. The lenses themself varies $25-100 each. It depends on what brand and if you have any problems like astigmatism or whatnot. Look for a place that is having a special, like a free exam. Once you have the exam you can purchase them online for really cheap, like $50 for the pair.

It depends on your prescription from your eye doc. Mine used to run almost 200 bucks a pop, but I have bad astigmatism and am near-sighted. If your prescription allows you to use the 'off the rack' lenses most optical places have, they aren't as expensive as glasses most of the time! The solutions you need to keep them (the lenses) comfortable to wear, however, can eat your lunch, especially if you have allergies. Good luck. I recommend them. If I hadn't had to have bifocals, I'd still be wearing them. Bifocal contact lens solutions are possible, but I'm just not coordinated enough to deal with them! They usually require one eye close and one eye far (or at least they did the last time I tried). It just made me cross-eyed!!
