In a nutshell...
Yes, it can harm the fetus..
And if you've heard that someone you know smoked during their whole pregnancy and had a healthy baby it does not mean that you will be so lucky.. Every pregnancy is different..

To the person that said marijauna is not addictive.. that is not true...it may not be physiologically addictive, but it can become psychologically addictive..And to the person that said you shouldn't drink alcohol...this is true to a certain extent...but a glass of wine here and there has not been shown to harm a fetus..

People that give advice should do research before giving that advice..

I would suggest that you sustain from marijauna use, especially in the first trimester to give your fetus the most advantage to be a normal, healthy baby in the end..

Good luck with your decision..

** and just becuase I say these things does not mean I condone smoking marijauna or drinking a simple glass of wine during pregnancy.... I am pregnant and am doing neither.. but it is good to state the facts..and not just the opinions..

oh, dear Lord. No it is not okay. The first trimester is when you should abstain from a lot of things because that is when all the organs are developing. Later, when they are mostly gaining weight, some things are okay, but marijuana, smoking, any kind of illegal drugs for that matter, herbs not okayed by your dr, drinking alcohol, etc, are NEVER okay during pregnancy.

I gave a serious answer, but please tell me this was not a serious question!

the first trimester is the most important time for the fetus. so with no medical background i would say yes that marijuana is bad for you and your unborn child at this time.

Marijuana is illegal for a reason....if it affects a fully grown person the way it does imagine what it would do to a developing fetus. And to think that you posted a question on here asking for tips on conception....I hope that you weren't taking it then too.

No. Don't do that. The first trimester is when all the important organs are forming (heart, lungs, etc..) and do not do it after the first 3 months, because it can harm you baby(heart problems, malformation, premature birth, underweight, dependency of the drug). Just stay clean for your baby.

Obviously it will hurt the fetus, weed is even worse than smoking cigarrettes, don't believe that it's nall natural as they say. do some google research on it. And stop smoking weed if you don't want your child with any deformations,. Don't be selfish, he's breathing what yoy breath, it's just 9 months

YES, even in the first trimester harm can be done to your fetus (baby) from things you do.

Please, don't smoke pot or cigarettes, drink alcohol, take aspirin, eat tuna fish or shell fish (mercury poisoning/chemicals), and PLEASE don't do hard drugs such as cocaine or heroin. All of these things are potentially harmful to the baby immediately.

No way! It is very bad for a baby. Don't be selfish, be responsible. Be a good mother and take care of your baby in a proper way. Your child deserves the best care and not poisoning.

IT WILL HARM THE FETUS!!!!! Why would you even think any drug is okay? Many over-the counter drugs aren''t even safe-- ESPECIALLY IN THE FIRST TRIMESTER!!!!!

Don't drink, either.

Clinical studies have shown no proof the pot smoking causes damage to the fetus,, not recommended but it is true yet pot CAN be passed on through breast milk.
