for my resume i put down playing in jazz band my junior year and playing concerts, taking private classical lessons and playing it at recitals, taking private lessons my freshman, and sophomore year, so is that all good

Impressive! If you could broaden your extracurricular activities list (clubs you belonged too, sports, volunteer work, etc) it would look even better!
