I think that it is going to be a battle way up to the last race...right now it seems that all that are in the top 10 are running really good...especially Harvick. In my opinion I think that anyone in the top 10 has a shot at it. What I do hope is that it is someone that has not won a championship before beings that 8 out of the 10 haven't there is a good shot at that.
Of the 10 that are up for it...I would like to see Jimmie of course but i he doesn't...I would have to pick either Jeff Burton or Kasey Kahne. I know that alot of people are cheering for Mark Martin and it would be nice but do we really need another championship for the "cat in the hat" and he was supposed to be retired anyway, if Rousch wouldn't have talked him into staying another year he wouldn't be in this position anyway. And for the fact of Junior, I know that alot of people are cheering for him, but I really hope that he doesn't just for the simple fact is that all you will hear on TV, read about, etc. It would just get really old!! Alot of people that I have talked to have said too that if Junior wins the championship there would be no way that they would watch speed weeks or the Daytona 500 since it would all be about Junior anyway and none of the other drivers would get any recognition.
This is just my opinion and I hope that I didn't upset anyone with the things that I said.

Here's my thoughts. Jimmie Johnson has an awesome shot at winning his first Championship. This is Makr Martin's 19th year in racing and has finished 2nd numerous times and it would be cool to see him win a championship his last year in Nextel Cup. Kasey Kahne is on a role and has everything needed to win the Championship. Then another driver with a great shot would have to be Jeff Gordon he has a great record at all 10 remaining tracks in the Chase, and has momentum, something alot of drivers dont have. Another thing he has is the drive for five. He is the only one with that because I think one day he will have as many Championships as Sr. and Petty. They are the only drivers in Nascar history with more championships then Jeff Gordon, and he has the ability and talent to win more.

I'd love to see Kasey Kahne win. He's worked so hard this season and has 5 wins. If not him, then Jeff Burton or Denny Hamlin (I'm not sure a rookie has ever won the title)
Johnson and Gordon will both choke again this year. I hope Carl decides the chase is the perfect time to pay JR back for the Busch Race! If not Kyle Busch is sure to wreck (well, anyone in front of him!)

As a Dale Jr fan I of course want for him to win the championship this season. However, if Dale Jr doesn't win I'd love to see Mark Martin finally win the championship that he rightfully deserves.
I don't think that it would be fair for him to retire and not win a championship. He is by far one of the top 10 greatest drivers in Nascar of all time and he hasn't won a championship, yet Kurt Busch does? That isn't right!!

Matt Kenseth has been on fire for the last ten races or so, but we shouldn't count out four time champion Jeff Gordon. He has the advantage in winning it all. To be honest though, I believe it will be between Kenseth and Jimmy Johnson, because they have been one and two most of the season. I'll give the edge to Kenseth because of experience.

I think it will be Matt Kenseth. He's on a roll right now. My personal hope though is Kevin Harvick. I think it would be cool for someone to win the Busch and Nextel Cup in the same year.

it's really impossible to predict... although i would love for dale jr to win the cup, i think that matt k is a pretty good contender... if jr can't win it, my pick would be matt. all 10 of those drivers are good or they wouldn't be where they are... just hope that by the time the TX Motor Speedway race gets here (which I have tickets to) that Jr will at least be in the top 3... GO DALE!!!!
