In the past several years, alcohol companies have marketed with Halloween themed ads in bars. Peope have responded by going to bars and drinking on Halloween. Surely some are drinking and driving. Did someone in marketing forget that children are in the dark streets on Halloween? Should there be public service announcements about this prior to Halloween? What would they say? Would they target parents of children or drinkers? What would be some good slogans?

They have a produce to promote and sell for $$$$$$$$. They hold no liability on the consumer's use. Although I'm against alcohol as a form of entertainment or pass-time, there is no money available for public awareness. And, the companies that produce the beverages probably have much to do it with!

I wish all those rich people like Bill Gates and Oprah could sponsor public awareness on drinking and driving and the dangers of getting drunk to all ages. I agree w/you!

Slogans: Beer Belly Enhancer-Bud-light
Age Enhancer-Miller Light
Drink and Die
Be wise and avoid the Bud!-Budweiser

A PSA wouldn't necessarily be sponsored by the alcohol industry. It would more likely be sponsored by an organization like MADD (Mothers Against Drunk Drivers). The most useful add would target the drinker (drink responsibly) and parents. Parents need to be aware of the lurking danger. Much as we all want to let our guard down, we have to be aware and keep our children from running around in the streets. Go trick or treating with the kids and teach them how to cross the street and how to be on the look out for out of control drivers.
If the Alcohol Industry were to make a more responsible add, maybe they could market towards neighborhood parties. In our neighborhood, people party in their garage or in the cul-de-sac. That way, nobody has to drive afterwords.
I hope this is a safe and happy Halloween for us all.

As long as bars have parking lots theirs not a single campaign against alcohol that can really help. Alcohol is ingrained in society, so whether it is Halloween or not , trouble is bound to happen. Peace.

Most people who drink should be old enough to be responsible. When you drink, you know what it can do to you. Why drink and drive when you already know the outcome? Some people just needs to be more responsible. It's not the alcohol fault. It's the drinker. They have these advertisement to advertise their drink sooo they can make money. I dont think their purpose is to get people to drink and drive. YOU CONTROL YOUR OWN ACTIONS!
