Not last night, because we stayed out late and she was asleep when we got home, but I try to read to my daughter most nights.

Yes, every night, at least one. (Reading to my son is one of my greatest joys as a mom and bibliophile. Going to the library with my son is also in the top ten. Another activity I enjoy with my son is selecting books at the local bookstore. We also participate in his school's Scholastic Book Program.) Last night it was "The Macmillan Picture Wordbook." We didn't read it cover-to-cover. We were searching for words that had the letter "d" in them. That was the letter of the week at my son's preschool.
One of his favorite books right now is "I Stink" by Kate McMullen. It's about a smelly garbage truck. You gotta love boys! : )

It's been many years since we did that, but our bedtime ritual was one of my favorites. I still miss tucking them in and kissing them goodnight. The years pass, and then they're grown. You look back and cannot believe how much time has passed. Enjoy these moments while she's still little!

I don't have a little person, but I sang lullabies to my dog last night while he snoozed on the couch. He's not big into reading stories.

I read the Belly Button Book to my little girl, then she asked to read it to me. Mind you she is only 3 and can't read yet, but she did a damn fine job telling me a story... i almost fell asleep...

Yes, I did. I read Aaron's Hair. My kids love being read to. I like watching them try and read the story back to themselves even though they can't read.
